Oh the lessons learned from a bowl of hot oatmeal. While scooping out a ladle of hot oatmeal the young lady who was attending to the breakfast buffet asked how I was doing. I explained that I loved the hot oatmeal to which she added, I made that for you! What a personal touch. In that moment I felt special. Someone did something with me in mind.
What most people fail to know is that Jesus Christ died on the cross for YOU! Now that is personal! Jesus Christ paid the cost that no human being could ever pay. He gave His all. He gave His life – for YOU. He had you in mind during those hours of intense agony and pain.
A relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is personal. Simply put –
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death…” NOT GOOD! Romans 6:23b “…but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” THAT IS GOOD… and It’s Personal!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
That free gift is yours for the simple exercise of faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. The Bible puts it this way –
Acts 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved…”
Jesus Christ died on the cross with YOU in mind! I hope that makes you feel special.
